Introducing Louie

Since losing Thomas, I've been up and down emotionally, wondering whether I would ever get through the sudden shock of losing a horse in the way that I did.

I'm pleased to say that the back end of 2014 my head found the right space, and I was able to get serious about a search for a new horse.

On New Year's Eve, I met Louie. A rising four year old, fresh over the water from Ireland. Before going to see him, I wasn't convinced after seeing a heap of 'not-for-me' horses. I was completely surprised, and from the second of seeing him, thought 'he's the one for me!'

Sitting on him gave me an even better feeling. So when I was finally able to bring him home, I was beyond excited!

Louie came from Ireland about 10 days before the end of the year, having been broken, going to the hunt for two days, before being left and sent to the North East. He has done nothing - no schooling or showjumping, but has the underlying great temperament. He is just the project that I wanted.

About Louie
  • Height: 16.1 (currently)
  • Age: rising 4 (2011 foal)
  • Colour: Dapple grey / Roan
  • Sex: Gelding
  • Breed: ISH

We're looking forward to Louie progressing with his education and will be excited to bring you more updates throughout the year. We hope you enjoy them!
