Bespoke Designs for Equestrians

At the start of March, it was the Christening of one of my friend's son, taking place in a very quaint little chapel in a beautiful rural Northumberland spot. The sun was even shining!

Usually, I'm a real last minute person - dashing around the shops the morning of a birthday or celebration to find a gift, card and the perfect wrapping. I was almost proud of myself to have the organisation to be well prepared for this occasion... 👌

Another friend is a designer, who in the last year or so has started her own little company outside of her 9-5 work, producing bespoke designed stationery and gifts. I'd seen a few of her designs on her Laura Jayne Designs Instagram profile and thought I'd ask if she could create something for me...

The whole process was really simple and Laura was really helpful. All I gave was the baby's name, weight, time of birth and date, ad Laura created a couple of designs for me. At first, I didn't quote love them, although they were very good. So I asked her if she could source a horsey design that was fun & childlike.

Within 30 minutes, Laura had sent through a new design which was perfect!

As I know Laura, I got the print the next day. This was even more impressive! Not only was it a print, but it had the mount and paper backing already included PLUS it was beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and string!

Now, all I needed to do was get a frame, some tissue paper and wrapping to complete the gift.

I headed off to Hobbycraft to look for a simple white chunky frame, and I found just the thing - an A4 white wood memory box frame. It was a simple unclip, pop in the print, its mount and the backing, and re-clip back together. Five minutes and I was done, & I'm really no craft person!

Laura caters for a whole host of things, so head over and give her a follow for the next time you need a gift, invites or stationery with the bespoke, personal feel that you want to add!
