#Blogtober Day 15: A photo diary of your week last week

Monday we headed to The Pegasus Centre for our monthly training session with Cathy Burrell. We worked on putting elasticity into my arms to give a better overall elastic contact to help the inconsistency we feel with dipping behind the contact & pulling it forward.

A night of working for Louie. Tuesday evening saw Louie have his new shoes fitted… Slightly strange situation as after one shoe, I had to get the fly spray as they were three or four hovering around Louie’s legs and bothering him. Yet by foot 3, the wind was up and I was FREEZING!!

A first for us…EVER! We headed out for hack for the first time ever in October without the need to take time off work thanks to a new flexible working policy!! And what a night we picked for it…

Our final schooling session before heading to Morris Equestrian at the weekend. Working on keeping Louie supply through his back, driving into the contact and keeping the elasticity within my arms.

Friday evening was all about getting ready to set off to Morris on Saturday morning, mainly packing the wagon with as much as could be so we had less to do on Saturday.

Our trip to Morris Equestrian was finally here! Washing Louie’s legs and tail before we set off, and getting rid of any stable stains quickly, we made the three hour drive to just west of Glasgow, stabling overnight for our Area Festival Final on the Sunday morning.

Today was the day of the PetPlan Area Festival Final! I was mega excited for it, and didn't really feel the usual big event nerves. I'm very proud to have not only just got to the Finals, but to come home with a THIRD place and only just being pipped to qualify for the championship by 0.28%!
